I have some interesting views on this whole “Haiti” thing that people wont like, but i’ll condense and say anyway…
1. I feel bad for these people, that was horrible
2. We should send some food and shelter sure, but within our means
3. We should NOT send butt loads of shit there.. why u ask? cuz we have people just as bad off, living in the streets HEREEE and no one cares.. so i think its a bit of a double standard of “care.”
4. So, we should bulldoze the old abandoned building, houses, hotels/motels and warehouses and build SIMPLE (ie bathrooms, rooms with a bureau and bed, laundry room and some major appliances available in a central area) for the poor, homeless ppl.
5. And get this, they can LIVE there AFTER they are drug tested and immunized for all major viruses and they will be turned away if they have a disease that cannot be cured within 5 or so days.
6. These people will be supplied job applications to fill out and turn in, clean up after themselves and maintain a moderately SAFE lifestyle or risk being turned out.
Sorry Haiti, but we need to fix our shit first. If we do, then maybe we’ll have moreeee people to send down to help u out if u need anything, and that goes for all the rest of the countries.
